Ross · Founder of Create Solutions
From dream to design to delivery.
Ross started Create Solutions because care, attention and the finer details matter. A drawing is a starting point, but the space also needs to work for the person living with it.
If something looks unsuitable when it is measured out, Ross pauses the affected work and talks through the concern rather than simply carrying on. Customers can raise questions too: a useful conversation can be just as important as a carefully finished detail.
We’re honest people who care about doing a good job. We want to finish with a result we’re proud of and a customer who feels confident recommending us.
A real customer example · shared anonymously
A plan should work for the person living with it.
“As soon as I measured out the toilet, I knew it was wrong.”
While measuring and setting out a proposed toilet in a small extension, Ross was concerned that a customer who used a wheelchair and walking frame would not have enough room to manoeuvre comfortably around the toilet and basin.
Rather than continue with the planned layout, he mocked it up using temporary studwork so she could assess the space herself. She agreed it was too small and needed to be made bigger.
The outcome at that point was agreement that the layout needed enlarging. It is a real, anonymous example of checking a plan with the person who will use it, before proceeding with the affected work.
The work you don’t see matters.
A good finish starts long before the final coat of paint. Depending on the surface, that can mean repairs, filling and sanding, removing dust and using a suitable primer where needed. These are not steps to skip. The same care applies beneath tiles and flooring: sound, suitable backgrounds and attention to moisture and drying support lasting finishes. What goes underneath deserves as much attention as what you see.

How we work
From first call to finished room.
Every home and scope is different. These are the conversations and practical arrangements to agree for your project, not a promise of a fixed timetable.
01
First conversation
Talk about what you want the space to do, your priorities, budget and preferred timing. Tell us about any access or everyday needs that should shape the work.
02
Site visit & scope
Look at the space and discuss what is included. Any planning, building-control or structural requirements depend on the scope and property and are confirmed with the appropriate professionals.
03
Quotation & decisions
Discuss the quotation, inclusions and material choices, including what still needs deciding. Agree the scope before committing; larger layout or specification changes may affect the price.
04
Preparation & scheduling
Agree practical arrangements for access, deliveries, protecting the home and disruption to rooms or services. Discuss material lead times, the proposed sequence and how to stay in touch.
05
Building & conversation
Raise concerns early. If a layout seems unsuitable, pause affected work and discuss it. Assess proposed changes and agree any revised scope, cost and timing before that work continues.
06
Completion & finishing items
Agree a walkthrough of the work and identify any finishing items, often called snagging. Discuss how these will be addressed and what handover information is relevant to the project.
Concerns & changes
Talk it through before moving on.
Talk early
Tell Ross if something does not feel right or you want to ask about a change. We can discuss the affected work rather than blindly follow the drawing.
Assess the implications
Small adjustments or a short pause can sometimes be accommodated by rearranging work. Each request is assessed individually; changes are not automatically free or without delay.
Agree, then continue
Bigger changes mean reviewing the specification and quotation. Agree the revised scope, cost and timing, including any programme impact, before affected work continues.
